Apprenticeships start at NOSTA in 2023

For the start of apprenticeships in 2023 at NOSTA Group, we were able to record a significant increase. In total, we welcome 33 new apprentices from all over Germany to our team. Compared to the previous year, this is ten more apprentices who have decided to pursue a career in logistics with us.

Our apprenticeship program offers young talents a wide range of opportunities to shape their careers in industrial, commercial and technical professions. We also offer the option of a dual study program. At a total of 12 NOSTA locations, apprenticeships are currently starting in seven different professions.

Preparing apprentices for the working world of the future

Our broad range of apprenticeships includes both "classics" such as training to become a professional driver and somewhat surprising paths such apprenticeships in media design for digital and print media. The increased demand for apprenticeships in warehouse logistics and professional drivers is particularly pleasing. "Interest in these careers has increased compared to previous years," says Alischa Reitz, a trainer at NOSTA Holding GmbH.

We rely on an innovative support program called "Future Apprentice" that prepares our apprentices in the best possible way for the working world of the future. Alischa Reitz highlights: "In terms of content, we go even further than some apprenticeship regulations and help our junior staff to expand and refine their skills in areas such as project management or communication."

Motivation is a decisive factor

When selecting our apprentices, the focus is not only on school qualifications. "If a young person can convince us with motivation in an interview, that is of great value to us," explains Reitz. That's why we also offer flexible training options: Part-time apprenticeships, inclusive models, internships as part of retraining or year-long internships as a practical reference for secondary schools are common practice.

To celebrate the start of training in a fitting manner and to strengthen team spirit, the new apprentices met for a joint team-building activity at the Hotel Beverland in Ostbevern. Other networking meetings and exciting activities such as a logistics simulation game and free driver safety training are also part of our apprenticeship program.

Now it's off to the training locations

In the coming years, our new colleagues will be accompanied and supported by experienced instructors at their apprenticeship locations in Aschersleben, Bielefeld, Dortmund, Duisburg, Hamburg, Kelsterbach, Ladbergen, Osnabrück, Schwerte, Stadthagen, Stuttgart and Viernheim.
